Fall Intern - Flavor Mill Catering

My business handles staffing, concessions, and event logistics for large-scale events in the DFW Metroplex. My biggest event is the State Fair of Texas, where we have a Popup restaurant and wine garden.

Breakdown of responsibilities:

Logistics- The setup, execution, and tear down of a "Popup" Restaurant in a concessions setting. The staffing, P&L, supply chain, logistics, marketing and more.

Day-To-Day Operations of a small, locally owned business that is event driven, including working with local city, county, and state officials on a regular basis.

Must be able multi task, especially when we have multiple events scheduled back to back. There will be many examples of this throughout the semester as we already have many events scheduled for the Fall. 

This is not your typical 9-5 setting. This is an event driven opportunity, and can have a wide variety of hours throughout the semester. There will be many times where you will be working outside, on your feet, or in a very atypical setting. The ideal candidate won't be afraid to get their hands dirty, and be able to maintain a proper work ethic. I'm not looking for the typical intern.  I need an enthusiastic, self-driven, hard worker with a passion for the hospitality industry. You will be expected to stick it out with some of the top Restaurateurs/Concessions/Event Companies in the DFW Metroplex!
